About Opening Doors

Welcome to “Opening Doors Podcast.” I’m Rachel Dalinka, and this podcast is close to my heart. Growing up with a father who battled addiction, faced incarceration, and ultimately found his way to rehabilitation, I’ve seen the power of resilience and the critical need for support.

This inspired me to create a space for open, healing dialogues. With over 25 years of experience in education and facilitating dynamic conversations, I invite you to join me as we explore the hearts and minds of those who have navigated life’s traumas and were able to reframe their experiences to help them grow and thrive.

“Opening Doors” is for anyone affected by incarceration or addiction, supportive family members, or anyone who believes in the power of second chances. We cover overcoming shame, healing family dynamics, finding new purpose, and so much more, and we do it offering empathy, understanding, and hope.

This is more than just a podcast; it’s part of a larger movement toward a more compassionate and inclusive society. It’s about celebrating victories of spirit and strength, advocating for those on the path of recovery, and sharing strategies that empower and inspire.
